Along with the identified client, IYT provides all family members support before, during, and after transport
IYT provides structured, ongoing support for families navigating the complex emotional and logistical challenges that surround adolescent treatment transitions and youth transport services. Services begin well before the day of transport, offering guidance on communication strategies, preparation steps, and family readiness planning, as well as a 24/7 line to talk through the process.
While the identified client remains the primary focus, families often carry the emotional burden of uncertain and high-stress circumstances. IYT hopes to reassure and help carry this weight, serving as a steady, trusted ally to both adolescents and their families, and guiding everyone involved toward the next step with clarity and care.

IYT provides structured support for families navigating complex behavioral health scenarios where added coordination or guidance is needed. While all of our youth transport and young adult transitional services incorporate therapeutic intervention techniques, we also offer full-scale, formal interventions for families seeking a more comprehensive approach. These are led by trained interventionists with specific experience in adolescent behavioral health.
Interventionists work directly with families to prepare messaging, plan communication strategies, and create a safe, structured opportunity to shift momentum. The process is collaborative and highly planned, with an emphasis on meaningful family involvement and improved engagement from the adolescent.

Clinically supervised sober companions for teens and young adults after treatment
Getting your child into the right program is only half the work. The step-down, the return home, the transition to college, and the first months in sober living are when structure disappears and the risk of relapse or crisis is highest.
Interactive Youth Transport and Coast Health Consulting place a trained clinical support person directly with your teen or young adult, at home, at school, in a sober living, or at a university, for as long as they need it. Companions provide daily structure and accountability, relapse prevention, coordination with outpatient therapists and psychiatrists, family coaching, and real-time communication with parents and referring professionals, with licensed clinicians supervising every placement.

TEEN TRANSPORT & INTERVENTION FAQ
How much does teen transport cost?
Cost depends on the distance to the receiving program, the mode of transport (ground or air), team size, and the complexity of the case. Your first call includes a no-cost consultation and clinical assessment, and we provide a complete, itemized quote, typically within an hour, with no obligation. The quote you receive up front is the cost you pay. Transport is not currently covered by insurance.
How quickly can you respond?
We are available 24/7. We typically arrange and deploy transport within 24 to 48 hours, and for intervention and crisis response we can reach families anywhere in the United States in under 24 hours if needed.
Who will be with my teen during the transport?
A minimum of two trained staff members, gender-matched to your teen, with a larger team for higher-acuity cases. Every team member is background-checked and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI/MANDT), CPR, and First Aid, and every transport is guided by licensed clinicians.
What if my teen refuses to go or tries to run?
Refusal is one of the most common reasons families call us. Our teams use structured de-escalation and relationship-building to help teens move from resistance toward acceptance. Physical intervention is a last resort, used only to prevent imminent harm, and less than 2% of all our transports have required any physical intervention.
Do you provide interventions before transport?
Yes. Along with the therapeutic intervention techniques built into every transport, we offer full-scale, formal family interventions led by trained interventionists with specific experience in adolescent behavioral health. When we handle both the intervention and the transport, your teen goes through one continuous clinical process instead of being handed off between disconnected providers.
Can you help after my teen is placed or comes home?
Yes. Interactive Youth Transport and Coast Health Consulting provide sober companions and aftercare: a trained clinical support person placed with your teen or young adult at home, at school, in a sober living, or at a university, along with clinical case management and family coaching.
Can you help if my teen is missing or has run away?
