How quickly can you get to us in Ohio?
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We typically arrange and deploy transport within 24 to 48 hours anywhere in Ohio, from Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati to rural counties, and same-day activation is possible in emergencies, depending on logistics and location.
Who will be with my teen during the transport?
A minimum of two trained staff members, gender-matched to your teen, with a larger team for higher-acuity cases. Every team member is background-checked and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI/MANDT), CPR, and First Aid, and every transport is overseen by licensed clinicians.
What if my teen refuses to go or becomes aggressive?
Our teams are trained for resistant and high-acuity teens. Structured de-escalation and relationship-building always come first, and physical intervention is a last resort, used only to prevent imminent harm and under strict dignity-first protocols. Less than 2% of all our transports have required any physical intervention.
Will my teen fly or be driven?
We offer both air and ground transport, including long drives from rural Ohio. A licensed clinician makes the call based on your teen's acuity, behavioral history, elopement risk, and emotional state. Teens with higher volatility or elopement risk typically travel by ground for continuous oversight. The clinical picture determines the mode, not the distance or cost.
Can you pick up my teen from a hospital or detox?
Yes. We regularly coordinate hospital discharges and psychiatric facility transfers, working with discharge planning teams on authorization, medical clearance, and medication continuity. For teens coming out of detox, we work with the detox provider and monitor for withdrawal symptoms during transport.
What do we need to do to prepare?
Very little. We handle every detail, from paperwork to medication oversight. We gather medical records, help compile school records and IEPs so they travel with your teen, and coordinate intake timing with the receiving program. The day before transport, the team lead walks your family through the plan and answers any final questions.
Can you take my teen from Ohio to a program in another state?
